- The essential German label turns 20 with a mix from one of Detroit's most respected DJs.
Mike Huckaby has mixed Tresor Records' 20th Anniversary, due out on November 7th.
By tapping Huckaby for the mix, Tresor continues in the Detroit-Berlin dialogue it's fostered for the past two decades. Founded by Dimitri Hegemann in 1991 just months after the club itself, Tresor Records has always been a platform for artists from Detroit, having put out early tracks by Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Blake Baxter and Eddie "Flashin" Fowlkes among many others. Though Huckaby has played at Tresor many times over the years, 20th Anniversary will be his official debut on the label, and includes one previously unreleased track from him, fittingly titled "The Tresor Track." The rest of the mix surveys Tresor's expansive and venerable catalogue, with 22 selections by some of its most essential contributors (Surgeon, Drexciya, Joey Beltram, Cristian Vogel et al.).
