- The Berlin-based producer will inaugurate the new Foom Music label with an EP and an album.
New London label Foom Music will launch with an EP from Bruno Pronsato under his new Archangel alias.
The Berlin-based producer's first record under the name features two tracks: a cover of Gary Numan's "Metal" and a live version of a track called "Momentum Of The Farce." You can hear snippets of both tracks over on Foom's SoundCloud page. Pronsato himself describes Gary Numan as his "pop-historical spirit animal." He adds: "I decided to take the basics from Numan’s track (bass line, synth) and transform them into my darker, drone driven style."
Metal/Momentum Of The Farce (Live) will be followed by a full Archangel album, The Bedroom Slant, due out through Foom in early 2014. The label has plenty of other music in the pipeline for next year, including a series of reissues and new records from avant-garde disco icon Peter Gordon (including an album called Symphony 5) and a first-ever vinyl issue of Peter Zummo's Arthur Russell-featuring Lateral Pass LP.
