- New Lines will come out through Peak Oil in October.
M. Geddes Gengras will release his next album as Personable, New Lines, on October 9th.
The LA hardware head uses the Personable for a more propulsive style of his sprawling synth music. He's previously released full-lengths as Personable for Opal Tapes and Peak Oil, the American label that's also behind New Lines. They say that the album shows Gengras digging "deeper into the copper plated, arpeggio spewing nooks and crannies of his prodigious modular synthesizers, dragging them across vast expanses of infinity oscillations via stops in Detroit techno’s neo-romantic strings ("Bushi") and Manchester’s early 90s grime-soaked IDM clatter ("Cris Rose")."
The album will come in a run of 300 copies. You can stream opener "Bushi" below.
