- The more 'experimental' full-length lands in September.
DMX Krew will release a new LP, Strange Directions, through Hypercolour in September.
Strange Directions is the 21st album from DMX Krew, AKA Ed Upton, and it sees the busy London producer back on Hypercolour after the label put out his You Exist LP in early 2016. We're told to expect a mix of "experimental and expansive joints," "funkier techno jams" and "melancholic synth sensibilities" across its 14 tracks.
Since You Exist came out, Upton—who was once known for his longtime association with Rephlex—has maintained a brisk release schedule with albums like Escape-MCP and The New Age Travellers, and EPs Artificial Gravity and Space Cucumbers. The latter came through RA's recent label of the month Central Processing Unit.
Learn more about Upton with this RA interview from last year.
