- The Finnish-born producer will release his new album in March.
Finnish beatmaker Kiki will return to the production arena after a quiet 2008 with his newest full-length, Kaiku.
The album, which will be released on the producer's usual Bpitch Control home, features two prominent guest spots: First, MC Chela Simone drops in for what the press release calls some "old school jacking," in what we're guessing is a nod to his hip-hop past. Then, later on in the album, we have Italian experimental quartet Pirica for goodness knows what. (We're certainly hoping he's at least drafted in Marta Garcia Gomez's excellent harp playing.)
Aside from those two highlights? Kiki promises "floating hymns" ("Stay Eyelids"), "downbeat excursions" ("No Words Necessary") and "classic dance floor bombs" ("Autumn Leaves"). And while we haven't had the pleasure of hearing such a diverse range of tracks, we're certainly looking forward to it. Fans will get the chance to do the same in late March.
