- The Panorama Bar resident's debut album is due out in early 2011.
Ostgut Ton has announced details for Yours & Mine, the debut album by Panorama Bar resident Steffi.
Production is only the latest stage in Steffi's career. In addition to years spent behind the decks, she's run the label Klakson since 2000 with fellow Dutch artist Dexter, and last year launched a second label, Dolly, which has since put out records by Dexter, Jacob Korn and Tyrez. She made her production debut in 2009 with "24 Hours," a tune made specifically for Tama Sumo's Panorama Bar 2 compilation (word has it she made the track over the course of one night at her friend's urging, hence the title). She's kept busy in the studio ever since, churning out EP's for Ostgut Ton and Underground Quality and collaborating with Berlin's Restoration crew under the name Third Side.
Comprising a total of nine previously unreleased tracks, Yours & Mine more than doubles Steffi's catalog to date. The album has a similar style to her 12-inches and DJ sets: simple, soulful house that sounds both classic and modern. Two of the tracks feature guest appearances by Virginia, a house vocalist whose past credits include tracks by Steve Bug, Abe Duque and Butch. The album will be released on CD in February, no word yet on a vinyl release.
