- The veteran producer's next LP is a collaboration with the poet Rick Holland.
Brian Eno will release a new album this July on Warp Records, entitled Drums Between the Bells.
The record is a collaborative effort between Eno and Rick Holland, a poet Eno discovered in the late '90s and worked with a few times over the past decade, though none of their sessions ever led to any released material. According to a press release, the pair decided to finally complete their project together after Eno's last album, Small Craft on a Milk Sea, came out last year on Warp. The album features Holland's words layered over Eno's productions, and recited by a cast of vocalists that includes both artists. It will be available as a double-CD package, complete with a 44-page book and instrumental versions for each track, or as a double 12-inch that comes with an mp3 voucher. You can hear one of the pieces, "Glitch," right now on Warp's Soundcloud page.
