- Jack Hamill has a new mini-album in the pipeline for R&S.
Space Dimension Controller has a new record due out on R&S Records next month called The Pathway to Tiraquon6.
Though the 11-track, 47-minute release is something close to an album in itself, it's described as a "prequel" to the Northern Irish producer's next LP, Welcome To Mikrosector-5, which comes out sometime in 2012. It shows his usual sci-fi obsession in full effect: set in the "mid 24th century," it in some way tells the story of Mr. 8040 (AKA The Space Dimension Controller) who, in the aftermath of an alien invasion that ends life on Earth as we know it, accidentally sends himself back to the year 2009, an era he's been stuck in ever since.
"Over the past year, stranded in our time, and confined to his Electropod, Mr. 8040 has been preparing an account of the events that led to the discovery of Mikrosector-50 and the creation of the Tiraquon6 security barrier," reads a press release. "This is the story of the Pathway to Tiraquon6."
The record will be released digitally and on a single LP. All of the tracks are previously unreleased.
