- An experimental festival called Neon Marshmallow will take place next weekend in Brooklyn. The three-day event is happening at Public Assembly, known to many as home of The Bunker. Most of the artists on the bill come from far left-field, with headliners like acclaimed ambient producer Tim Hecker, folk-drone artist Grouper and minimalist composer Rhys Chatham. Other highlights include noise artist Rene Hell and Raster Noton act Mark Fell. Each night the festival will be followed by a "Soiree After Party," with DJ sets will from minimal wave specialist Veronicka Vasicka and Bunker host Bryan Kasenic (AKA Spinoza). Free beer or vodka will available for a little while each night, to help you ease into those walls of noise.
