  • Berlin DJ Marcel Fengler is set to play two sets during his time in Australia this month. Fengler is touring to promote his latest mix cd, Berghain 05, which came out back in August. A resident at the iconic techno club since it opened in 2004, Fengler has a reputation for his programming skills, ability to coherently integrate a variety of genres, and narrative approach to DJing. On the production front, his releases on the club's own label, Ostgut Ton and Luke Slater's Mote-Evolver have been well received by techno fans, and his recently self-released Sphinx EP exemplifies his ability in the studio. This will be the German artist's first time visiting Australia. The Public Works Department will be hosting the Melbourne show on December 9th, which will be held at Kindred Studios in Yarraville. Up to Sydney the following night, Disconnected Presents: will be putting on the show at The Whitehouse, with support being provided by Advanced Human, Ben Dunlop and Defined By Rhythm. Tickets to both events are available through RA.
