- The new album from Steve Moore will be released on Internasjonal next month.
Next month, Steve Moore will release a new album as Lovelock called Burning Feeling on Prins Thomas's Internasjonal imprint.
Burning Feeling is Moore's debut album as Lovelock, but the New York artist has put out more than a dozen albums over the past decade under his own name and as one half of the duo Zombi, among a handful of other projects. He's also scored a pair of horror flick soundtracks as Gianni Rossi, and more recently he's put out records for Kompakt and L.I.E.S.
As Lovelock, Moore finds himself at the cosmic end of the disco spectrum: Burning Feeling is filled with neon-lit synths and spacey guitar riffs. Only a few Lovelock tracks have been released to date, including "Don't Turn Away (From My Love)" and "Maybe Tonight," which first showed up on the Eskimo Recordings 2008 compilation Cosmic Balaeric Beats and Chromeo's 2009 DJ Kicks mix, respectively. Both of those tracks are present on Burning Feeling, alongside six previously unreleased tracks. The album will be available on CD and digital download at the end of April. Before then, a pair of "Maybe Tonight" edits from Morgan Geist (of Metro Area) will be released on vinyl.
