- Cadenza will release the Berlin-based producer's second album next month.
Maayan Nidam is ready to release her second artist album, New Moon.
Nidam has always been something of a chameleon. She's never been tied down to one project or label for long—in the past six years she's released on Perlon, Freak n' Chic, Wolf + Lamb and Raum... Musik among others, appearing under her given name or as Miss Fitz, Laverne Radix or with Vera as Mara Trax (she also tried out the name Spunky Brewster, which surprisingly never stuck). Recently she's fallen into the Cadenza fold—New Moon will be her first record on the label, but she's been DJing with Luciano and co. at their events around the world for the past few months.
Though less of a curveball than Nightlong, her Cuban-inspired debut LP, New Moon shows Nidam at her most diverse, with downtempo and jazz-inspired sketches interspersing her usual sultry tech house sound. The album is due out at the end of May.
