RA's guide to Queen's Jubilee weekend in London

- Here's a look at what's on in the capital this bank holiday weekend.
- There are holidays—New Years, for instance—when raving seems like a genuinely appropriate way to celebrate. The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, if we're being honest, isn't really one of them, but that hardly matters to punters or promoters (it is a long weekend, after all). London's party scene is set to outdo itself this weekend. Here's a look at some of the options. One of the biggest forces this bank holiday weekend is Broken & Uneven, the new brainchild of Ajay Jayaram, former head of The End. They've got something on all three nights of the weekend: Friday it's a Dimensions Festival Launch Party with Floating Points and Mala at a TBA location, Saturday it's a release party for Phon.o's latest on 50 Weapons at XOYO, and on Monday they'll help you cool down with a hip-hop set from Hudson Mohawke. Other options for Friday include Funkyzeit's closing party with Kyle Hall, Troupe featuring T. Williams at Pulse, Future Disco's Jubilee Boat party with Greg Wilson, a Sneaker Social Club (offshoot of current Label of the Month Hypercolour) event with Paul Woolford and Axel Boman, and a three-hour set from Bonobo at 2932 East. Saturday is loaded with options too, even if you're skipping Field Day. The Rhyhthm Factory are hosting Berlin-based duo Matthew Burton & Kate Rathod along with Kris Wadsworth; Oliver $ plays for Data Transmission at East Village; Adultnapper and Alexi Delano guest at Superfreq; and Alex Celler goes back-to-back with Anthea at Basing House. Techno purists can get their fix at Dystopia, featuring Peter Van Hoesen and Dadub. BleeD are throwing a Field Day after party with Kassem Mosse and Will Bankhead, and Soundcrash have booked Luke Vibert and 808 State at a TBA location. Then of course there's the old standby, fabric, this time featuring Paris' Apollonia crew (Dan Ghenacia, Shonky and Dyed Soundorom) plus DVS1 and Ben Klock. But naturally the really big one is Sunday, with a number of the parties getting started around midday. Creche are setting up shop in the Ministry of Sound car park with Lee Foss, Danny Daze, MK and a gaggle of others. That one runs from 1:00 PM all the way until Monday morning. 2020 Visions are in it for the long haul as well: their shindig runs from noon until 6:00 AM on Monday, with sets from Laurent Garnier (presenting LBS), Ralph Lawson and FCL among others. secretsundaze will be at The House Club & Terrace all afternoon and evening with Lil' Louis, Joy Orbison and Nyra, plus residents Giles Smith and James Priestley. Chez Damier is headlining Ketoloco's daytime party, which is happening at The Light Bar from 12:00 PM until 11:00 PM. Kerri Chandler will play a six-hour set at Loft Studios starting at 5:00 PM. More options present themselves once the sun goes down. Trentemøller, Luke Solomon and KiNK are booked for WetYourSelf! at fabric, Lindstrom will headline The Nest, Blake Baxter and I-F will play for Bloc and Bodyhammer at a TBA location, and Lo*kee will team up with Berlin underground club Renate at 7-9 Crucifix Lane for a party featuring Mario & Vidis and Snuff Crew. For something a bit darker, Plex and Perc Trax will be at Corsica Studios with Kangding Ray, Skirt, AnD and Perc himself. One of the weekend's latest-running parties will be Locomotive at Nomad, where Valentino Kanzyani and a grip of Romanian DJs will keep things going til 9:00 AM. If you've still got it in you, there are of course more options on Monday: Dinky headlining Spilt Milk, Russ Yallop and a secret artist at You Are WE, Dan Curtin and Ralf Kollmann at Cable London, or the aforementioned Hudson Mohawke hip-hop set.
