  • Smallville Paris will celebrate its 5th birthday on September 8th. Though the Smallville record store and label is most often associated with its original home of Hamburg, in 2007 Henrik Weber (better known as Pantha Du Prince) and DJ Jacques Bon founded a Paris branch of the deep house institution. To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Paris record store, Weber and Bon will play a commemorative party at Paris' Point Ephémère alongside original Smallville founder Lawrence and visual artist Stefan Marx (AKA The Dead Sea), who gives the Smallville sleeves their distinct hand-drawn charm. The party will also act as the official Paris launch for the latest Smallville album, Smallpeople's Salty Days, a typically ruminative album which RA's Kristan Caryl claimed possesses a "hugely seductive human pulse that never fades away nor surges too excitedly."
