- The Seattle-based label will release a pair of cassettes from two new signings in October.
Further Records have a pair of cassettes on the way from Pearl River Sound and Kondaktor, two new signings.
The Seattle-based electronic label who helped re-legitimize cassettes in electronic music has sinced branched out into vinyl, enlisting engineers at Berlin's famed Dubplates & Mastering to cut records from artists as diverse as Nuel, Pittsburgh Track Authority and John Daly. The cassette tape, however, remains important to the label's project, and it's the format of choice for the latest artists to join Further's roster. The mysterious Pearl River Sound contributes Childhood, an album of six zoned-in, rhythmic synth-scapes, while Greek techno DJ Slydex inaugurates his Kondaktor alias with the minimalist noise experiments of Broken Boat.
