- Sasu Ripatti's next LP, his second for Raster-Noton, will drop on November 26th.
Sasu Ripatti will release his next album in November as Vladislav Delay, entitled Kuopio.
Ripatti is a Finnish artist with a few different sides to his sound, and just as many pseudonyms. Vladislav Delay is his channel for productions that are experimental but still beat-driven (if unconventionally so)—past LPs like Tummaa and Whistleblower have simultaneously explored sound design and off-kilter rhythms. Kuopio, which takes its name from a city in Finland, will be his second album for Berlin institution Raster-Noton, after last year's Vantaa. According to a press release, it "clearly represents a further attempt to depict the finnish [sic] landscape as well as its isolated charm." You can hear a medley of the tracks right here.
