- The two-disc mix, due out in December on their own Bits and Pieces label, features 21 original productions from the Amsterdam duo.
16 Bit Lolitas will release their latest album, Warung Brazil 2012, through their own Bits and Pieces label next month.
The album takes its name from Warung Beach Club, the venue in Itajaí, Brazil that the Amsterdam tech-house duo see as a kind of spiritual home for their sound. Peter Kriek and Ariaan Olieroock released their first Warung set in 2008, with a DJ mix on one disc and 12 originals on the second. For Warung Brazil 2012, both discs contain all original productions, which is impressive considering they released another full-length, Supermarkt, this past September. Where that record found them mining a darker sound, Warung Brazil 2012, they promise, is entirely focused on the club. "With our second Warung album," they write, "we are focussing on bringing energy, good vibes and dance floor killers." Each disc comes sequenced as a DJ mix.
