- The Brighton promoter's first release out in August contains new music from Pye Corner Audio, Old Apparatus, Ekoplekz and more.
The Outer Church will release its first compilation on August 5th.
A running series of audiovisual events in Brighton, Outer Church was started in the English city by music journalist Joe Stannard back in 2009. The shows have generally leaned towards the more experimental end of things, booking acts like Demdike Stare, Raime and Old Apparatus in those four years. The double album features 28 previously unreleased tracks all from Outer Church alumni (aside from NYC composer Graham Reznick), a group that includes Pye Corner Audio, Ekoplekz and Mordant Music associate Vindicatrix.
The collection will see release through Manchester label Front & Follow, with the first 300 copies coming in a special letterpressed sleeve, and it'll be accompanied by a series of showcases taking place in Brighton, London and Manchester.
