- The limited edition release features tracks from a number of the New York producer's aliases, including Willie Burns and Black Deer.
Land Vs Air, a cassette album by Willie Burns, will see release through Sex Lies Magnetic Tape next month.
The collection features tracks from three of William Burnett's best-known aliases—Grackle, Black Deer and Willie Burns—as well as a couple of new ones in Monobol and Phobian. The label describes Land Vs Air as a blend of "ambient, claustrophobic psychedelia, dark electronica and 4 AM basement house." One of Burnett's fellow New York dwellers, Jorge Velez, AKA Professor Genius, guests on the Black Deer track "Wolf Dear Child." As we recently reported, the album is among a raft of releases that Burnett currently has in the works for a number of labels, including Rush Hour and The Trilogy Tapes. Due out October 30th, the cassette edition will be limited to 100 copies and comes with a mix CD. It will also be released digitally.
