- Prostitutes, Pete Swanson and Bleaching Agent all feature on the collection of DIY electronics, due out next month.
The second release on Perc's Submit label will be a various artists compilation called Feral Grind in November.
The compilation, which has been curated by Perc and RA contributor Justin Farrar, focuses on artists who "operate at the intersection of techno, drone and DIY electronics." It features a few well-known names—Prostitutes, Pete Swanson and Bleaching Agent—alongside some unheralded, mostly US-based talent, including North Carolina's Housefire, Mincemeat Or Tenspeed from Philadelphia and Cleveland's The David Russell Snake.
The DIY techno and noise world was covered in depth by Farrar on RA last year—check it out here if you missed it first time round. In addition to the full Feral Grind compilation, there will also be a four-track vinyl sampler featuring tracks from Swanson, Prostitutes, Burial Hex and Profligate. The digital version also contains a bonus track—"Lowest Temptation" by Indignant Senility. You can listen to clips from the compilation over at the Submit SoundCloud page.
Perc launched Submit, an offshoot of his own Perc Trax imprint, last month. The first release was a collaboration between the label boss and German industrial outfit Einstürzende Neubauten. You can get some insight into Submit by checking Perc's mix for Electronic Explorations, which includes tracks that inspired the label alongside material from the first two releases.
