- The Bunker will host a party for Swedish Energies on December 7th. The gig is a co-production by the veteran NYC techno promoters, the ISSUE Project Room, EMS and the Swedish consulate. As part of a two-day series showcasing the country's arts scene, it follows daytime events on the Friday and Saturday. Taking place at 285 Kent, it'll be headlined by hardware lover Andreas Tilliander, AKA Mokira, under his TM404 alias—a project that focuses on some famous Roland drum machines (the 303, 606, 707 and 808). He'll be joined by Peder Mannerfelt from Roll The Dice, iDEAL's Dungeon Acid, NYC-based Swede Van Rivers (who you might know from his work with Fever Ray), and Bunker resident Bryan Kasenic. Also playing the event (though he's certainly not Swedish) is Raster-Noton associate Frank Bretschneider, fresh off the release of his new album. The Bunker show is actually the final date in his brief tour of North America, which starts this Friday in Ottawa and sees him stopping in Montreal, Toronto, Boston and Pawtucket, RI, before landing at Swedish Energies.
