- Speedy J's label will release a set of four records commemorating its podcast series in December.
Electric Deluxe will release a series of four 12-inches to celebrate reaching 100 podcasts earlier this year.
Though the label, founded by Speedy J in 2008, is well-known for its recorded output from the likes of Terence Fixmer and Brendon Moeller, its podcast series gives that discography a run for its money. The series reached 100 in July, and instead of doing a conventional podcast, the label has decided to mark the occasion with a vinyl set. #100 consists of four hand-stamped slabs of wax and a tote bag, with each side featuring an unedited sections of an Electric Deluxe podcast (as for which ones, that's a secret). According to a press release, "eight continuous parts have been carefully curated into a sequenced, yet nameless listening experience," putting the spotlight on the podcast format itself rather than the artists. The release, out on December 2nd, will be limited to 300 copies.
