- The English duo will drop their first album in December.
Matthew Burton & Kate Rathod will release their debut album, Pipes, next month.
Pipes will be released on Burton and Rathod's own label, Shifted Flow. Since the Berlin-based pair founded the imprint last year, they've have been trying their hand at more experimental and ambient fare, and that's exactly what's going to be offered up on their debut full-length. It will be released as a 2xCD pack, and comprises 28 downtempo cuts. Judging by the samples over at their SoundCloud page, listeners will find that the new album is a lot more mellow than the hallucinogenic club tracks Burton and Rathod have crafted in the past, though the overall feeling is just as trippy. It features collaborations with Nick Lawson, Bangala Design and Nicolas Bougaieff.
