- The Canadian producer is dipping into his archives for a new compilation out later this month.
Frivolous will drop a compilation of unreleased material, Lost And Forgotten, on January 28th.
Canadian Daniel Gardner has been releasing music for over a decade now, first debuting on German label Background and carving out a melodic minimal sound for labels like Karloff and ~scape. He eventually settled took a more tech house direction with his work on Cadenza, including the Meterology album back in 2010, but he's been pretty quiet since then.
After leaving Berlin and having a rather tumultuous time in the South Pacific, a recent move back to his home of BC gave Gardner the time to go through his archives, unearthing tracks old and new. Some onLost & Forgotten were recorded during his Meteorology tours and others from aborted album projects, dating all the way back to the beginning of his career. The collection will come out on Belgian label Lessizmore on digital and CD formats, with a limited seven-inch single featuring "Insignificant Others" and an edit of "303D" accompanying the CD as well.
