Luke Slater booked for Toronto

- Box Of Kittens have nabbed the UK techno pioneer for a date next month.
- Luke Slater will play a gig in Toronto on May 10th. Slater is a man of many names—you might better recognize him for his pounding techno as Planetary Assault Systems or the more heads-down work as L.B. Dub Corp—and he's been a pioneering in force in techno since the early '90s. His visits across the pond are relatively rare, but his Canadian gigs are even rarer, and he'll headline his first of those in several years in Toronto for Box of Kittens. The show will take place at warehouse venue 99 Sudbury, and will feature an extended DJ set from Slater under the L.B. Dub Corp vs. Planetary Assault System brand that he's been performing with lately. Residents and locals Mike Gibbs, Jamie Kidd and Fabio Palermo will play backup.
