- The German pianist and composer will travel across the continent in November, his second time in 2014.
Nils Frahm has announced a second North American tour for 2014, this time taking place in November.
This latest announcement comes just under two months after Frahm revealed his first North American tour of the year. "Touring the US again? Hope my folks at home won't get jealous," he says in a press release. "Expect me to return with more crazy ideas about how to wreck an old New York Steinway."
Frahm is a German composer, pianist and producer known for his gently electronic take on modern classical music. After releasing a handful of albums on Berlin label Erased Tapes, he struck oil with last year's Spaces, a critically acclaimed live album that renewed interest not only in his compositions but his live show too. His next journey begins on the West Coast with a Seattle date on November 6th. From there, he'll pass through Vancouver, Portland, San Francisco and LA, before cutting across the country for a Midwest stretch in Chicago, Cincinnati, Colombus and Toronto. Finally, the tour will wrap up with a trio of East Coast dates—New York, Montreal and Boston, with the final taking place on the 23rd.
