Run by Defected, the Saturday night residency will focus on classic house and disco.
Glitterbox is the latest party to hit Ibiza in 2014, taking place across 17 weeks at Booom.
The new Saturday night venture is the brainchild of Defected, whose flagship island residency already occupies the Tuesday slot at the superclub. In contrast to Defected's more contemporary lean, Glitterbox will focus heavily on classic disco and house. Running from June 7th through September 27th, the opening will play host to Dimitri From Paris, X-Press 2 and White Isle veteran DJ Pippi. The remainder of June will see Crazy P drop by on the 14th, followed by Greg Wilson on the 21st and Kenny Dope on the 28th.
CJ Mackintosh will play the first of two dates on July 5th, supported by celebrated US producer Arthur Baker. Baker returns alongside Late Nite Tuff Guy on July 19th, before Joey Negro and Hercules & Love Affair perform on the 26th. August highlights include Todd Terry on the 16th, as well as Nightmares On Wax and Italian luminary Claudio Coccoluto on the 23rd. Signing off in style, the closing party will feature the biggest lineup of the season, with Dimitri From Paris, Joey Negro, Arthur Baker and Late Nite Tuff Guy all headlining.
