- The German experimental band will drop their next album in July.
To Rococo Rot will release Instrument on July 21st.
The long-running German band—active since the mid-'90s—are known for blending ambient, noise and other heavily manipulated styles with krautrock and post-rock influences. Though they're on their 16th album now, they've become less prolific with time: Instrument is their first since 2009's Speculation. It's also their first foray into vocal work, with No Wave legend Arto Lindsay (of DNA fame) guesting on three tracks. They'll return to German label City Slang for the release, after a stint on Domino.
