- Ry X and Frank Wiedemann will release the LP through Monkeytown and Counter Records in May.
Ry X and Âme's Frank Wiedemann, AKA Howling, have announced full details of their debut album, due for release on May 4th.
The Australian folk singer and Innervisions co-founder first crossed paths in 2010, teaming up to produce one of the Berlin label's biggest records to date, "Howling". Since then the pair have laid low, releasing nothing save for a mellow house rendition of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" via Modeselektor's Monkeytown label. Monkeytown will team up with Ninja Tune subsidiary Counter Records to handle the album, titled Sacred Ground. In a similar vein to "Howling," which is included on the LP, the tracks draw on a blend of strings, organs, synths, field recordings and Ry X’s voice.
