- The city's free noontime dance party continues through the spring.
Chicago's public music program for the coming months includes eight free lunchtime shows, called Wired Fridays.
Presented by the city's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, Wired Fridays is a bi-weekly, noontime affair, open to all ages, that highlights local dance DJs—house jocks in particular. As usual, each of the hour-long events will take place at the Chicago Cultural Center's Randolph Square, running from noon to 1 PM.
Chicago house legend Ron Trent will preside over this Friday's dance party. On February 19th, Argot and Tasteful Nudes man Steve Mizek hits the decks. Mia Wallace, Lori Branch and KSTARKE—who runs the well-regarded record store of the same name and is also known as Jackmaster Hater—count among the DJs booked through May.
