Shogun Audio will celebrate 100 records with a new series that kicks off in March.
The label, started by Friction and K-Tee back in 2004, has become one of drum & bass's most prominent labels, with a roster that includes the likes of Rockwell, Icicle, Alix Perez and SpectraSoul. Reaching a milestone 100 releases this spring, Shogun are celebrating with a four-part EP series called Shogun 100 that features new music from label artists as well as special guests and former associates.
The first EP, which comes out on March 18th, features new tracks from Ulterior Motive and Technimatic, along with a collaboration between Icicle and Proxima, plus an Alix Perez remix of Friction and Fourward's "Battle Scars." Future instalments in the series will see tracks from SpectraSoul, dBridge, Ivy Lab and Break, among others.
The Shogun crew will also embark on a world tour to celebrate the landmark. It'll begin with a series of dates in Australia and New Zealand in late March, featuring Rockwell, Technimatic and Joe Ford. The tour will then move through the UK and Europe, ending up at fabric on April 8th with the likes of Friction, Icicle and Dillinja in room one. Check out Ulterior Motive's "Radian" below.
