- Kompakt will release the Dutch duo's self-titled LP in June.
Weval will put out their first full-length via Kompakt on June 10th.
Harm Coolen & Merijn Scholte Albers debuted back in 2013 with the Half Age EP, which quickly caught the ear of Kompakt. The vaunted German label snapped the duo up shortly thereafter, releasing the Easier EP in 2014 and It'll Be Just Fine in 2015. Now Albers and Coolen are back with their debut, self-titled LP, which they worked on over the summer of last year at an old school converted into offices, once they decided that "their beloved living room studio wasn't cutting it anymore." The album reportedly builds on their darkly-tinted electronic pop sound, and the label calls it their "most powerful and organic material yet."
