AJ Tracey and Andrew Ashong are among the acts set to play at The Chalk Farm Road spot, which is now owned by The Columbo Group.
London-based hospitality company The Columbo Group is opening a new venue in September called The Camden Assembly.
The 400-capacity space, formerly popular indie rock hangout Barfly, is located on Chalk Farm Road in Camden Town. It's the second venue The Columbo Group have acquired in the area, following the recent reopening of Jazz Cafe. Like the Jazz Cafe, it'll also host mostly live music, with Andrew Ashong (September 18th), grime star D Double E (22nd) and UK rapper/saxophonist Soweto Kinch (18th) all playing in the first couple of weeks. Several DJs have also been lined up, including The 2 Bears (16th), MikeQ (17th) and AJ Tracey, who'll headline the opening on Thursday, September 15th. The venue has been fitted with a D&B soundsystem.
