The Deepblak Recordings boss will play for The Shuffle Co-Op next month.
AYBEE will headline The Shuffle Co-Op's party at Oakland's Starline Social Club on October 15th.
Though the producer born Armon Bazile has been a Berlin resident for a few years now, the roots of his sound lie in the Bay Area, specifically Oakland—where close collaborator Afrikan Sciences lived and more broadly, where Sun Ra landed his spaceship in the 1973 film, Space Is the Place. AYBEE is ramping up to the release of his fourth album, The Odyssey, a record that draws from "jazz, deep house, techno, hip hop, blues, experimentation, cinema, space, time and infinity."
So far this year, The Shuffle Co-Op has hosted the likes of Shanti Celeste, Kris Wadsworth and Oskar Offermann. On the 15th, Alex Lin, Petko Nikolov and Max Gardner will open up the night.
