- The experimental artist's latest album, Air Lows, is her first for Kiran Sande's label.
Blackest Ever Black's next release will be an album from the Italian artist Silvia Kastel.
The label says the eight-track LP, called Air Lows, was prompted by a "late-flowering interest in techno and club music," and was recorded in Italy and Berlin. The album is also informed by musique concrète, Japanese minimalism and techno-pop. In the six years since releasing her first full-length, Love Tape, Kastel's prolific output has spanned various styles of vocal- and electronics-based experimental music. She's also part of Ninni Morgia Control Unit, a trio whose past releases have incorporated jazz, noise and industrial music. Her first release for Blackest Ever Black, a cassette-only mix called Bibula Harena, came out late last year. Air Lows is out next month.
