Galcher Lustwerk debuts on Ghostly International with new album, Information

- Galcher Lustwerk will make his Ghostly International debut with the new album, Information. Lustwerk's third LP, following 2017's Dark Bliss on White Material and 2018's 200% Galcher on his own Lustwerk Music imprint, pulls from the same stylistic hip-house realm as his previous output but notably includes more live drums and jazz saxophone, according to the press release. "Being from the Midwest and with Ghostly putting it out, I think it's fitting to cull together my most Midwest-minded, 'hookier' tracks," the New York-based artist said. "I wanted to capture a bittersweet quality that I hear in a lot of other Cleveland producers." As for the title of the album, he explains, "Information doesn't equal knowledge. Though we may be getting facts, the truth may not be clear." Lustwerk will play a string of dates this fall, including Ghostly International's 20th anniversary parties in San Francisco, Brooklyn, Chicago and Detroit.
