  • A new online radio station, Clyde Built Radio, will launch in Glasgow's Barras Market soon. Huntleys + Palmers head Andrew Thomson is spearheading the new effort, which builds off of his label's Clyde Built compilations to showcase the Glasgow scene. "Even one track from the featured artists feels a bit reductive," Thomson says on expanding the Clyde Built concept to a radio station, "and that's before all the great DJs get a look in too." The station will focus on lesser-known and emerging artists (some of whom have featured on the yearly Clyde Built compilations) as well as the clubs, record shops and well-established figures from the Glasgow scene. The station will also serve as a place to hang out as well as a venue for DJ and production workshops. Clyde Built Radio will stage a number of broadcasts and launch parties before officially going on-air in January. For more information, head over to Clyde Built Radio's official site.
