The Amsterdam promoter will donate all revenue from the January 17th parties in Europe, Asia and the Americas to the ongoing crisis.
The Gardens Of Babylon has organised events in 11 cities around the world to raise funds for the Australian bushfire crisis.
The Dutch promoter will be simultaneously running parties in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Basel, Antwerp, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Mexico City, Singapore and its hometown of Amsterdam on January 17th. All revenue will be going towards a collection of seven organisations and charities in Australia, including state firefighting services and native wildlife care and conservation causes.
"There is not a day that goes by without terrifying as well as heartbreaking news from the burning continent of Australia," the organisers say. "We have come together with many incredible partners and musicians around the globe to organise the first Babylon Fundraiser."
Lineups are still TBA, however Oliver Koletzki, Islandman and Sarah Kreis & Caleesi are confirmed for at least one event in the series. Tickets to all 11 of the events are available here on RA, with all booking fees being donated as well.
So far Australia's devastating bushfires have burnt more than ten million hectares of land, killing 28 people and destroying more than 2000 homes. The World Wildlife Fund has estimated well over a billion animals have perished.
Dozens of parties are being hosted around the country to support the bushfire relief effort, while a number of local producers and labels have released fundraiser EPs or pledged Bandcamp revenue to the cause.
