AVA announces names for free conference and show at London's Printworks

  • AVA Festival is hosting another free conference at London's Printworks this March. Following last year's inaugural event, the second edition will go down on March 13th and 14th at the Canada Water superclub. Kicking off the weekend programme, the conference portion will take place on Friday, with discussions from the likes of Orbital, Ninja Tune founder Coldcut, UK performance rights organisation PRS For Music and SoundCloud. There will also be an RA Exchange with Andrew Weatherall. Industry talks will continue with The Musicians Union, while Abbey Road Studios will discuss their history as an essential recording studio. Sónar and shesaid.so's Georgia Taglietti, is also locked in, in conversation with WME's Steve Hogan. Finally, after speaking at last year's conference, ADE co-founder Richard Zijilma will make a return appearance. Performances will take place Saturday night, with a bill featuring Joy Orbison, Ross From Friends and Overmono. Cromby, Sally C and Swoose will also appear, playing alongside Carlton Doom, Timmy Stewart and DART. More names will be announced leading up to the event.
