- The workshop takes place on April 21st at 6 PM GMT.
Resident Advisor and nightlife campaigners, Good Night Out, are hosting a workshop for venues and promoters.
On April 21st, at 6 PM UK time, the two-and-a-half hour workshop will help 20 participants understand how they can better tackle sexual violence at their events. Two specialist prevention experts will lead group and individual activities, intended to help venues discover cases of unwanted sexual behaviour, create an accountable environment, respond appropriately to a disclosure, develop policy wording, follow up with victims and more.
The workshop comes as venues prepare to reopen amid heightened discussion about safe spaces and sexual violence in the UK especially following the murder of Sarah Everard and the potential implementation of plain-clothes police officers in venues.
The workshop, which will be in English, is open to promoters worldwide, though some of the legal and licensing terminology will be UK specific. Sign up here.
Since 2014, Good Night Out has been working towards safer nightlife spaces, with a focus on gender-based harm and sexual violence.
