- The American Dreams sub-label launches this week with a solo EP by the Texas artist, a collaboration with Patrick Shiroishi and a double-CD compilation.
San Antonio-based experimental artist Claire Rousay has launched a new label, Mended Dreams.
The new outlet is a partnership with American Dreams, the label that handled Rousay's recent full-length, a softer focus. Mended Dreams will focus on quarterly physical media "bundles" from the prolific artist, whose music was recently described as "emo ambient" in a New York Times profile.
The spring/summer bundle, due Friday, May 7th, features a Renata Rojo-designed tote bag, two limited-edition cassettes—a solo EP called Twin Bed and a collaboration with composer Patrick Shiroishi—and the double-CD A Collection compiling Rousay material from 2017 through 2020 onto a single release.
