- The record, which arrives in October, has been touched up for vinyl play.
Thought, the debut album by Suzukiski, a Japan-based producer who was prolific during the '90s, will soon be available on vinyl for the first time.
Junki Inoue's SAISEI label will put out a slightly modified version of Thought, originally self-released in 1993, on October 11th. Spanning 12 tracks made on hardware, the album explores house and techno with a heavy Detroit influence. For this reissue, eight songs have been exclusively re-edited for vinyl play.
The record also features liner notes by the late minimal techno artist Rei Harakami and Masaaki Hara, owner of the Soup-Disk label that's reissued several Suzukiski albums on CD, including Thought in 2003.
Thought marks SAISEI's third release. The label, launched earlier this year, specialises in '90s Japanese electronic music. After Thought, Takahiro Suzuki, AKA Suzukiski, went on to release eight more albums and two EPs. His most recent work was the 2006 LP Ozma.
