- The sessions will take place this week on May 19th and 20th.
Resident Advisor and audio arts organisation AFRORACK are hosting two modular synth workshops for young people aged 13 to 18 in London this week.
Taking place on Thursday, May 19th, from 6 PM through 8 PM, the first session is a collaboration with Young Urban Arts Foundation at The Halley in Haggerston.
The second session will run the following day from 6:30 PM through 8:30 PM at Stratford Youth Zone in partnership with Music Producer Club (MPC), which is run by RA's newly announced board member Tony Nwachukwu. MPC is a project giving young people the opportunity to learn about electronic music and nurture their production skills.
Participants in the workshops—which will focus on sound design and beat-making techniques across various genres such as hip-hop and UK garage—will have access to several Moog modular synths and Akai hardware. No previous experience is required.
Sign up for May 19th and May 20th.
This week's sessions follow two similar workshops in September 2021. Learn more about AFRORACK's work via the organisation's website. Browse RA's community projects here.
