  • Resident Advisor and Pitch Music & Arts are hosting three free-to-attend DJ workshops in Melbourne ahead of the festival in March. From 7 PM through 9 PM on Wednesday, January 31st, Moopie will lead a workshop at High Note. This session is aimed at beginner-to-intermediate level DJs with some experience behind the decks. The second workshop, also at High Note, will take place on Wednesday, February 28th, from 7 PM through 9 PM. Former Breaking Through subject Kia will host. During this two-hour session aimed at intermediate DJs, Kia will unpack her approach to CDJ and mixer tools such as loops, layering, filters, EQing and preparing your USBs. The host of the final workshop is TBA, but it will be held at Hope St Radio on Wednesday, 13th March, from 7 PM through 9 PM. More details and a sign-up form will be released soon. Sign up for both workshops via the form. RA will once again host a stage at Pitch Music & Arts this year. The festival takes place from March 8th through 12th in Moyston, Victoria, and the lineup was announced back in November.
