EYEO have a series of six nights at IndigO2 in London later this month. Burger/Voigt, James Holden and Morgan Geist headline.
Eat Your Own Ears is known for bringing together live acts and DJs, usually from quite disparate genres, with regular nights in the capital and occasional outings up north. Their latest parties at IndigO2 in London this month look equally adventurous with plenty to tuck into for electronic fans.
The EYOE series happens on six consecutive nights, but three especially have caught our attention. Thursday night sees live PAs from Four Tet and Fairmont plus DJ sets from James Holden and dubstep kingpin Kode9.
Friday is a goody, too teaming Environ's Morgan Geist and mystery-disco rep Kelley Polar with drone rockers Sunburned Hand of Man. DFA's photo-shy Prinzhorn Dance School are showing their faces too so pack the camera.
But save yourself for Sunday for ‘Kompakt in Concert’ where the Cologne powerhouse celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with live sets from four of the label's finest: globetrotter Gui Boratto, ambient technoist Thomas Fehlmann, Jonas Bering and Burger/Voigt, the new live project from The Modernist and label founder Wolfgang Voigt. A proper Kompakt party in London, basically. To top it all off there's also a live set from electronic funk duo Mouse On Mars and a warm up from the Allez-Allez crew.
