- The producer's new album will be released on Om in September.
Mike Monday will release his new album, Songs Without Words this September on Om.
Billed as a "more electronic and less danceable" effort for the producer, the album takes in a number of genres (house, funk, soul) in an affable mix that plays up Monday's sense of humor. As you can see from the album and attendant singles artwork done by Seb Godfrey of Drunk Park, this is a project in which Monday is enjoying himself to the fullest. Especially on tracks like the aqueous "Catnip" or drunk trumpet-laden "The 11 11." You can check out the first of three videos promoting the album at kyte.tv.
