- After remixes for Aus and Ninja Tune, Laurie Osborne and Kieran "Komonazmuk" Lomax (now operating as Komon for house-related endeavors) pair up again on Osborne's Apple Pips. This release is apparently the result of a studio jam, and both inclusions steer to the left-of-centre. "Gas Jam" is seven-minutes of bumping house, loaded with jump-up hooks and deep, contrasting stabs. "Silencio," on the other hand, is a lower-slung boogie cut, steeped in '80s New Wave nostalgia. Rich in texture and clarity, it bears a similarity to Gary Numan's later productions, and while it doesn't do a great deal, "Silencio" does showcase the pair's ability to switch things up.
