- Part two of the Canadian duo's Tresor trilogy kicks off with thrilling breakbeat EBM.
- Minimal Violence are in the middle of a fierce, dystopian-inspired trilogy for Tresor, and these EPs find the Canadian duo in sharper and more focused form. "Dreams For Sale," the lead cut off Phase Two, highlights the duality of the group's music: its back half is loaded with breakbeat techno goodness, but the first half sounds like a sci-fi movie film reel, full of dread-inducing tones, yelps and shrieks, sirens. It takes the language of rave music and makes it darker and more paranoid, not to mention detail-oriented—my favourite part is how the breaks start to uncoil and ricochet at the end.
