- Lee Gamble sounds almost optimistic on his latest for Hyperdub.
- The final chapter of Lee Gamble's Semioblitz triptych continues his exploration of visual and sonic stimuli in modern cities. Previous iterations delved into the suffocating nature of this looming technological shadow. "Hyperpassive" however, is Gamble at his most optimistic. Irradiant shards of sound spill out like sand rushing into the bottom of an hourglass. It fires up the synapses before some lush chords usher the listener towards a future of convenience and passivity. In the last quarter, civilians can be heard nonchalantly chatting away, embodying the eventual marriage between increasingly complex technologies and humanity.
