- Ahead of his upcoming fabric mix, Leon Vynehall shows us he still remembers how to work a dance floor.
- Leon Vynehall's turn at the fabric mix series feels long overdue. “Fabric had a huge part to play in shaping what I heard and was exposed to via their mix and compilation series," he said in the accompanying notes. "Sugar Slip (The Lick)," then, feels like the return of the prodigal son. His dynamic, narrative approach to smoky house feels tailor-made for shattering the euphoria meter in clubs. It feels like the spiritual successor to the self-described "free expression" he tapped into on Rare, Forever, ony infused with more play and less ennui. From the word go, luminous pads and zestful synths ascend into the stratosphere then remain in orbit, emitting a divine technicolor light. The second half hustles and bustles with serrated breakbeats and respiring synths, forming an aural tapestry that's bound to magnetise ravers like moths to a flame.
